There are few things that please me more than the details in life.

The mist hugging the base of the giant mountains. Whispering in and out, between all the cracks and crevasses. Painting the high peaks pale purple and baby blue. Hiding the dreamy secrets that lie between the valleys. Vapor dancing to and fro beneath the seeking sun. Mystery lies within the shadows, a new world to discover. The mystery of a mountain's majesty.

The clasping of family hands around a dinner table. Quick shrieks and loud giggles passed around the littlest among, with deep conversation and solemn humor for the elders. Loitering individuals around the glossy white kitchen. Children racing around at top speeds. Folks having a good time. Stories and joy being shared all around.

Waves lapping gracefully along the shore. Sand being whisked away, piece by piece. Being licked into the currents, swirling, circling. Taken into an ocean so vast, surviving past the horizon. Surrounding distant lands that I can only dream of visiting. Untold beauty beyond my place here.

The closest of friends all together once again. Screeching and belly laughing. Telling jokes and stories. Happy faces and warm embraces. Giggles and gossip. Playing our own music or dancing to new found beats. People we've missed for so long, and we feel at home again.

These are the things that I embrace most. The things that inspire joy and cause smiles within me. That which makes my heart soar.
